Ms. Shelia Tyson is honored this week as Scott Center's exemplary employee. She has been employed at the Scott Center as a paraprofessional since August 2003. She resides in the Taylor Community and is a member of Mount Hope Church.
Currently, Shelia enjoys her work at the Scott Center. According to the teacher she works with, Shelia is skilled at accentuating the positive and strives to eliminate the negative. Her professionalism and dedication, which has been commented upon by her co-workers extends above and beyond the call of duty. When not in her assigned classroom, she will assist any teacher in the building as needed or directed. Her positive attitude, calm manner and ability to put students first, makes her an asset for any school to have in its employ.
Future plans of Ms. Tyson include going back to school and perhaps becoming a registered nurse.
