Assistant to the Superintendent
“I want to say thank you to my co-workers who so kindly selected me as Employee of the Week. Each person that I work with is so very deserving of this recognition. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work for the Oxford School District and to have a small part in touching the lives of our young people.”
Becky Rooker has served as the Superintendent’s secretary for fifteen years. Prior to her present position, Mrs. Rooker served as the assistant superintendent’s secretary and teacher assistant at Bramlett Elementary School. In each position she has served the district in the past eighteen years, Becky has displayed excellent job skills, work habits, leadership, initiative, and cooperation. She is totally committed to the welfare of the Oxford School District.
Mrs. Rooker graduated from North Panola High School and attended Northwest Junior College and Delta State College. Prior to her career with the Oxford School District, Becky worked in a bank for eleven years.
Becky serves as a Sunday School teacher for tenth through twelfth grade girls and sings in the choir at North Oxford Baptist Church. She is married to Lee Rooker and has one daughter, Leigh Ann.
