The employee of the week for October 17 is Bob King. Bob currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for the Oxford School District. During his thirty-three year tenure with the school district he has served as a math teacher, coach, bus driver, assistant principal, principal, the Executive Director of Finance, Personnel, and Instructional Technology, and interim superintendent.

Mr. King works with the maintenance staff, technology staff, transportation staff, and others in the district to provide a safe environment and positive school climate for students and staff. His responsibilities also include general oversight of the new construction that is taking place in the district.

Bob is actively involved as a member of North Oxford Baptist Church where he works with the broadcast ministry and the youth ministry at the church. He spends his hours away from school working in the yard, cooking, and going to auctions with his wife.

When asked about his job, his comment was “Every day is different. I don’t have time to get bored with what I do.”
