Synthia Gilliam came to our department in 2004 as a sub. Her willingness to come whenever we called; and her eagerness to work impressed me to the point that when an opening became available, I didn’t hesitate to recommend her for the position. The first impression you may get of Synthia is that of a quiet, nonchalant kind of person, but when you get to know her she’s one whom you can count on. She welcomes a challenge. Any time we are short handed she’ll always say, “Don’t worry, Mrs. Goliday, We got it!” And believe me, she motivates her co-workers and they get the job done. She cares about our customers and every now and then when time permits she’ll throw in a special treat to let them know just how much she cares. To know Synthia is to love her. We are very fortunate to have her as part our Department of Child Nutrition Staff.
