Oxford School District
“I have enjoyed my time at the Oxford School District as a member of the Technology Department. Working with my fellow technology colleagues as well as the rest of the faculty, staff, and administration has been more than a pleasure. Oxford has some of the most talented and nicest people anyone could ask for. I will truly miss them all.”
Jay Ford is one of those employees that consistently exceeds all expectations. He has excellent technical skills covering a wide range of hardware and software applications. In addition, he was able to create a very positive working relationship with fellow technology staff members, as well as with other district staff. In all tasks, he always approaches his work with a positive attitude.
Jay has been an instrumental member of the technology team from the time he came to work for the district in early 2005. In addition to resolving technology work requests, Jay is responsible for the installation, setup, and integration into our network of several major software applications - the library catalog software (Destiny) and the new Accelerated Reader program (Renaissance Place). Many other software applications used by our students on a daily basis are available due to Jay's hard work.
Although Jay has moved on to other job opportunities, his contribution to our district continues. He is truly a worthy employee of the week for our district.
