Joanne Bagley
Biology Teacher
Oxford High School
“I am honored to be selected employee of the week, especially considering that I work with so many incredible educators who are all deserving of this honor.”
Even though this is Biology teacher Joanne Bagley’s first year teaching at Oxford High School, she is not new to the district or to OHS. Miss Bagley, who is actually a 2001 graduate of OHS, came to the high school after teaching for five years at Oxford Middle School.
“I have enjoyed being back and seeing how things have changed and how successful OHS remains,” Miss Bagley said. “It makes me proud to be a Charger!”
Miss Bagley says she loves working with the students and wants to make a difference in their minds and in their hearts.
“I want my students to be better after being in my class – better students and better people,” she said.
It is this type of dedication and caring that earned her the title of Employee of the Week for Oxford High School.
“I am honored to be selected employee of the week, especially considering that I work with so many incredible educators who are all deserving of this honor,” Miss Bagley said.
Assistant Principal Kathy Howington says, “Joanne Bagley has proven to be the consummate professional. She came to the high school on a very short notice and has worked extremely hard with a new curriculum, older students and new faculty in an entirely different scenario. Joanne sincerely cares about her students and they know that. She sets high expectations in the classroom, and her students strive hard to meet those expectations. We are very fortunate to have Joanne Bagley on our staff at OHS. She has certainly brought great strength and talent to the OHS team.”
