Brian Lester
Math Teacher
Oxford Learning Center
“Thanks to everyone who had a part in recognizing me as Employee of the Week. I don't do what I do for awards or recognition, but it is great to know that my efforts aren't going unnoticed. I work with a great staff here at the OLC, and I feel that what we do here is a team effort. I am proud to be a small part of the Oxford School District, and I feel that as a whole we make a world of difference.”
Brian Lester is currently completing his first year as the math teacher at the Oxford Learning Center. Brian is characterized by his peers as one who cares about the whole student. He is one who really takes time to address issues that students find challenging and difficult to overcome. His even-tempered demeanor coupled with his positive attitude really compliments his efforts to help students overcome the barriers that often contribute to impeding the learning process.
Brian's inspiration and influence are by no means confined to the parameters of the classroom setting exclusively. In addition to fulfilling his academic and pedagogical responsibilities at the Oxford Learning Center, he also serves as the assistant coach for the varsity football team at Oxford High School.
The faculty and staff members of the Oxford Learning Center are immensely grateful and honored to have Brain Lester as their Employee of the Week selection.
