This event celebrated both the academic and extracurricular accomplishments of the Class of 2024.

The students were recognized with cords, pins, and stoles, each representing a unique achievement.

“We held the regalia ceremony during school hours because we believe it is important for our students to be recognized for achievement in front of their peers,” said Oxford High School Principal, Dr. Dana Bullard. “It also provides inspiration for our younger high school students. The teachers and coaches who have made a difference to the students awarded the regalia to the seniors. We want it to be a recurring, meaningful event.”

Among the graduating class, 78 seniors earned a cord of distinction (3.6-3.99 GPA), and 78 additional seniors earned a cord of special distinction (4.0 GPA or above). Additionally, there were 98 students who earned an Oxford Blue Stole, a testament to their dedication to a sport or activity for three or more years.

Notably, cords were also given to seniors who surpassed the state and national averages for college and career readiness. In English, an impressive 73% of students received this honor, while 57% excelled in math, 78% in history, and an astounding 82% in science.

We are so proud of our seniors and their commitment to both academic excellence and extracurricular involvement. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

Join us for Oxford High School’s graduation ceremony on Friday, May 24, at 6 p.m. at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss.
