Della Davidson Elementary Teacher OSD Employee of Year
Oxford, Mississippi (May 22, 2019) — The Oxford School District recognized Shalayne VanSickle, a 3rd-grade teacher at Della Davidson Elementary, as OSD Employee of the Year at Monday’s board meeting.
VanSickle has worked 9 years in education, 7 years with the Oxford School District. She served as ELA co-chair this year, serves as the yearbook sponsor, and served as a member of our Standards Based Grading team. She is from Senatobia, Miss. and graduated from Delta State University with a Double major in Special Education/Elementary Ed.

Throughout the school year, each school campus and department has the opportunity to select an Employee of the Week. At the end of the year, each campus votes for their Employee of the Year from which the entire district votes on overall Employee of the Year. This award is given based totally on nominations and votes from peers.
