O’Connor Named All-American for Girls Soccer
Oxford, Mississippi (May 8, 2019) — This week, Oxford High School (OHS) senior and Girls Soccer Captain, Morgan O’Connor, was named an Allstate All-American for girls soccer. She is 100 of the top high school soccer players in the country recognized for her on-field achievements. O’Connor will join 150 standout teens previously named to the list after the fall soccer season. These final 100 players will complete the full list of 250 players representative of every state in the country.
OHS Soccer Coach, Hunter Crane said “Morgan is an outstanding soccer player, but an even more extraordinary person. Her soccer skills are amplified by her commitment to her teammates and the desire to leave it all on the field. Even as a young player, Morgan was a strong leader on the team. Players look to her example for inspiration to continue when practice or the game gets tough. The level of intensity is noticeably different when she is on or off the field – but even when she is on the sidelines, she is standing and looking for ways she can impact the game. She brings that competitive drive to the classroom where she works diligently to be successful as well. While we will miss those things as she moves on to the next level. We will miss her commitment to our program and her leadership more than all. She is the true definition of an Oxford Lady Charger.”
Morgan O’Connor leaves Oxford High School as the most decorated soccer player in program history. She holds every statistical record that OHS has in soccer. O’Connor has committed to play soccer at Ole Miss in the fall.
