Oxford Chargers Participate in 2017 National Signing Day at Oxford High School
Oxford, Mississippi (February 1, 2017)—Nine Oxford Charger student-athletes solidified their commitment to play on the college level in front of family, coaches and their peers during a National Signing Day event in the Oxford High School (OHS) gym.
Oxford High School student athletes who signed a Letter of Intent on February 1, 2017, during the school’s National Signing Day media event are:
- Kent Hickinbottom, Defensive Lineman—Pearl River Community College
- Kolbe Leary, Offensive Lineman—Millsaps College
- Jerry Quiller, Defensive Lineman—Pearl River Community College
- Devin Rockette, Defensive Back—University of South Alabama
- Nick Sisk, Defensive Lineman—Holmes Community College
- Colton Skidmore, Offensive Lineman—Northwest Mississippi Community College
- Ashton Stewart, Offensive Lineman—Northwest Mississippi Community College
- DQ Thomas, Defensive Back, Linebacker—Middle Tennessee State University
- DT Thompson, Linebacker—Northeast Mississippi Community College
“The Charger Football Program is extremely proud of the accomplishments of these young men,” said Oxford Charger Head Football Coach Chris Cutcliffe. “We wish them the best as the continue their careers both in the classroom and on the football field. These nine young men are truly Chargers for life!”
National Signing Day is the first day a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college football or soccer with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
