Oxford, Mississippi (June 18, 2019) — Beginning Tuesday, June 18, 2019, the southbound ramps at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 7 and Sisk Avenue will be closed for construction of roundabouts at the intersection. Sisk Avenue between Ridgewood Manor Drive and the northbound ramps will be closed as well. Travelers driving northbound can continue to use the northbound ramps at Highway 7 and Sisk Avenue to access the Oxford Commons development. In July, all ramps at this intersection will be closed to allow for additional construction before re-opening in early August. Motorists should use Mississippi Highway 30 to North Lamar Boulevard or Ed Perry Boulevard as alternate routes during construction. Please drive with caution through this work-zone as all motorists adjust to the temporary change in traffic pattern. The City’s goal is to be finished with construction in this area prior to the start of school and they will keep the Oxford School District updated with changes that might extend into August.
