Oxford School District Announces Pay Raise for All Employees

Oxford, Mississippi (May 10, 2024) — The Oxford School District is thrilled to announce that all employees will receive a well-deserved pay raise for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

“Yesterday, the Oxford School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a raise for all of our dedicated staff members. This decision reflects our unwavering commitment to recognizing and valuing the hard work and dedication of every individual within our school community,” said Superintendent Roberson.

Newly allocated funds from the Mississippi Department of Education’s funding formula along with smart financial decisions within the Oxford School District have allowed this pay raise to happen. The pay raise initiative, totaling nine hundred thousand dollars, aims to ensure that each staff member receives a minimum of a $1000 increase in salary. A percentage-based structure was employed, taking into account years of experience and advanced degrees. The structured approach prioritizes fair compensation, with the largest increases directed towards classified staff members, including teacher assistants, child nutrition workers, and bus drivers. Teachers also received significant raises in alignment with proposed percentages.

This investment in our staff highlights how committed the Oxford School District is to attracting and retaining top talent while fostering a positive and supportive work environment. By prioritizing the welfare of its employees, the district seeks to enhance morale, job satisfaction, and ultimately, the quality of education provided to its students.

The Oxford School District remains steadfast in its pursuit of educational excellence and looks forward to continuing to empower its employees to thrive both personally and professionally.
