Oxford, Mississippi (September 19, 2017) — Oxford's answer to a $38 million Oxford School District bond referendum vote is “yes”. The district’s bond referendum to build a new elementary school, while also making additions and renovations to current school campuses, passed with an 83 percent vote on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, when voters who live within the school district lines went to the polls to vote on the bond referendum.

“Once again our wonderful community has voted to support the generations of the future with a ‘First in Class' education,” said Oxford School District Superintendent Brian Harvey. “We are thankful to the community as a whole and look forward to implementing the bond referendum plan.
