Oxford, Mississippi (October 8, 2019) — Each month two Oxford Middle School students are chosen as AVID Scholars — one for 7th grade and one for 8th grade. These students are actively engaged in our AVID classrooms; they are creative, hard-working, dependable, and show progress in all core classes.
Congratulations to this month’s AVID Scholars!
Dylan Wishon is our first AVID Scholar of the Month for seventh grade. Dylan is a creative and dependable student who is kind to his peers. He exemplifies what an AVID student should be.
Addyson Shorter is our first AVID Scholar of the Month for 8th grade. Addy is hard working, organized, and is actively involved in all of her classes. She is also involved in numerous extra-curricular activities. Addy is a perfect example of an AVID student.
