Oxford School District Welcomes Mrs. Johnnie Dudley as Director of Teaching and Learning

Oxford, Mississippi (May 13, 2024) — The Oxford School District (OSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Johnnie Dudley as the new Director of Teaching and Learning. Mrs. Dudley’s hiring was formally announced during the special called board meeting held on May 9.

With an extensive background in education and administrative leadership, Mrs. Dudley brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. Mrs. Dudley served as the Principal of Oxford Intermediate School (OIS), where she was recognized as the Oxford School District Administrator of the Year in 2024. During her time at OIS, she demonstrated exceptional leadership by fostering a culture of professional development, enhancing school-community partnerships, and implementing data-driven strategies to address educational disparities.

Before her role at Oxford Intermediate School, Mrs. Dudley was an Assistant Principal at Oxford High School. Prior to her time in Oxford, she was a special education teacher, principal, and the Director of Special Education in the Coffeeville School District.

In her new role as Director of Teaching and Learning, Mrs. Dudley expressed her enthusiasm and dedication to empowering educators and supporting student success. She stated, “I am both honored and excited to step into the role of Director of Teaching and Learning. In this new capacity, my goal is to ensure that our educators feel empowered and supported. I look forward to joining the team in leading our efforts to inspire and equip students and staff with the skills necessary to excel in teaching and learning.”

The Oxford School District is confident that Mrs. Dudley’s leadership will contribute significantly to its mission of providing a high-quality education for all students. Her proven track record of instructional leadership and commitment to excellence makes her a valuable addition to the district’s leadership team.
