Scholastic Institute Students Make President’s List
Oxford, Mississippi (January 21, 2020 ) — Six Oxford High School students are among the list of distinguished Northwest Mississippi Community College (NWCC) students to be recognized for earning a place on the President’s List for their outstanding academic work during the Fall 2019 semester. The President’s List includes students completing a minimum of 12 academic hours with a 3.75 or better average in a four-point system.
Two Oxford High School students are recognized as Vice President’s List from NWCC for their 1st semester. The Vice President’s List includes students completing a minimum of 12 academic hours with a 3.50 to 3.74 average.

In 2019, The Oxford School District entered into a partnership with Northwest Mississippi Community College to begin offering The Scholastic Institute to 11th graders. Scholastic Institute students are full-time college students at NWCC. These students are also completing their high school graduation requirements at OHS while working to earn their Associate’s degree. Students enrolled in the Scholastic Institute should finish both their high school diploma and their Associate’s degree by the end of their senior year.
