Oxford, Mississippi (January 8, 2020) — Oxford Intermediate School has been recognized as an AVID Elementary Certified Site for the 2019-2020 school year. This status is awarded to sites that have met AVID’s implementation expectations and submitted required data documentation that supports program effectiveness and student progress. This certification process is designed to assist AVID sites in achieving desired benchmarks that are precursors for academic success in middle school.
AVID Director, Marilyn Barnes, received a letter from AVID’s CEO stating “We applaud you for your diligence in attaining this achievement, and we look forward to your continued leadership in providing quality education for all students.”
