OHS Unified Sports Wins Gold
Oxford, Mississippi (March 6, 2019) — Special Olympics of Mississippi hosted the 2019 State Spring Games on the campus of the University of Mississippi on March 2, 2019. Oxford High School Unified Sports basketball teams competed in various divisions, winning the Gold in the 5-on-5 game.
Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team, made up of people of similar age and ability. Oxford High School unified basketball team is coached by Minnie Gates-Powell.
5-on-5 Gold Medal:
- Paul Turner, Jammario Poole, Jordan Hearvey, Clayton Dabbs, Bhanuka Jayratana, Cecil Turner, Malik Brannon
3-on-3 Silver Medal:
- Embry Fox, Clayton Dabbs, LaDorian Vaughn
Individual Skills:
- Tri Nguyen – Gold

Cheerleaders:
