The Oxford School District is proud to recognize Oxford Middle School 7th grade science teacher Diana Wells as our Employee of the Week. Mrs. Wells helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

Diana Wells is a very outstanding teacher and overall person. I am a new teacher and since the first day I met her, she has been nothing but kind to me. She assisted with finding and setting up my classroom. She is not my PLC leader, but she ensures I am aware of all procedures and helpful websites. She calls me after school to ensure my mental health. Anytime I reach out via email, phone, or classroom knock, she is there to greet me with a smile. I do not think I have ever seen a frown upon her face. My 8th grade students still tell me that she was an awesome teacher, and they remember material from last year. She encourages students to relax and have fun in class with different days, such as WICOR Wednesday and Fun Day Friday. She even has class pets to encourage responsibility for students. When students enter her classroom, it does not feel like a room but a calming place where scientific fun takes place. She incorporates integration of other subjects into her classroom and involves students in several labs for real-life application. She is very organized and well planned. She ensures her materials and lesson plans are done weeks in advance. Overall, as a fairly new teacher, I dream of becoming the teacher she is today. She is my go-to person for all this Oxford School District because she knows everything. She even tries with her BIP and IEP students to ensure they are getting adequate assistance. She constantly speaks with coaches, counselors, science coordinators, and admins to present new ideas and make sure she understands all things regarding OMS. She enters the building way before clock-in time and leaves way after clock-out in spite of having a husband and children of her own. She also involves her family with her love of OMS because not only does she attend the sporting events, but her family is also present and rooting for success. Diana Wells is the ultimate choice for OSD Employee of the Week.

Diana is a fireball about getting things done. She gets an idea and runs with it. Her energy is contagious!

Mrs. Wells is always really vibrant and has the best energy. She is passionate about her content, and she is equally as concerned about the well-being of her students. She loves science and invites others to share in her love and light for the subject.

Mrs. Wells goes above and beyond for her students and staff. Not only does she teach her standards, but she enriches her content to ensure her students can master topics and have fun while doing it. She also looks for opportunities to help teachers with new things as well. She was so helpful to me recently by watching students for me while I had to be out.

The kids enjoy her class, and she is always available to help her colleagues.

Diana Wells does an amazing job with students! She is passionate about teaching Science and a pleasure to work with.

Mrs. Wells goes out of her way to make all new staff feel welcome and comfortable. She is always doing things to make others feel loved and appreciated. She is an amazing teacher and person.
