I am so honored that my peers, my colleagues, nay, my FAMILY chose me. Every day we go into the trenches with our students (and each other) to help the students battle through not only learning the content, but dealing with everything that life throws at them. My goal every day is to try to make the school just a little bit brighter and happier place to be for everyone. It is a privilege to work with the staff at OMS, and I hope my peers know just how important and vital they are to the mission of our school.
The Oxford School District is proud to recognize Oxford Middle School teacher Shara Minton as our Employee of the Week. Mrs. Minton helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

Works hard to create a friendly and helpful culture in the building.
Mrs. Minton has worked hard this year to keep her class innovative and exciting for her students as they learn history. She has brought in numerous hands-on activities to make sure that her students are not only hearing but engaging with the content. She has built lasting connections with her students, and they each love going to her class every day.
She works hard to help students and teachers as best she can and gives so much effort and time to helping everyone feel safe and welcome.
Mrs. Minton goes above and beyond to bring a smile to the faces of all those she encounters. She is the picture of spirit and works extremely well with her colleagues coordinating and planning activities for us. She is truly a gem to work with.
She brings the energy - all day, err day!
She greets each one of her students a different way.
She goes above and beyond to keep our spirits high during difficult times. She is always eager to help those in need and is creative teacher. She is a joy to be around.
Mrs. Minton has the best school spirit ever. She is always encouraging the staff and students to their best.
Mrs. Minton works hard to ensure that her students are involved in the learning process by bringing in rigorous and engaging activities. She also takes the time to get to know her students and what is going in their lives. She attends their after school events and even participates in the school theatre performances.
