The Oxford School District is proud to recognize Oxford High School teacher Tammie Holmes as our Employee of the Week. Mrs. Holmes helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

Mrs. Holmes cares deeply about her students. She works tirelessly to ensure that her colleagues are treated professionally and strives to create a positive work environment. Mrs. Holmes is a teacher who believes that teaching is her calling – she supports students and other adults.

Mrs. Holmes is an absolute joy to work with. She cares so deeply about her students, and it can be seen in absolutely every interaction that you have with her. Her knowledge of students is unmatched, and she is the BEST at communicating with her students’ other teachers.

I have worked closely with Tammie for several years. She works incredibly hard and always puts her students and other teachers ahead of herself. She does things the right way and demonstrates one of the highest characters of anyone I’ve ever worked with.

Mrs. Holmes is a great mentor. She always goes the extra mile for her students. I am a new teacher to the district, so I normally have questions. She is always willing to stop what she is doing to lead me in the right direction.

Mrs. Holmes shows genuine love for every one of her students on a daily basis.

An unsung hero, she has been in beast mode for 20+ years here. It is about time she was recognized!

Mrs. Holmes is a very caring person. She puts the wellbeing of others, both students and teachers, above herself. She is the true meaning of a selfless person and a person we should all strive to be more like.

Tammie is what teachers should be striving to be.

Mrs. Holmes works harder than any teacher I know to ensure she provides the resources her students need. She puts her students first above all else. She is an amazing teacher.

Tammie is a good encourager to everyone around her and she wants what is best for her students and this school system.
