The Oxford School District is proud to recognize Oxford High School teacher Joy Clark as our Employee of the Week. Mrs. Clark helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

Joy Clark is very deserving of being Employee of the Week. I teach on the same hall as her, and it’s a pleasure to stand in the hallway between classes and see how much the students love connecting with her. She makes them laugh. She listens to their stories. Even former students come by and want to reconnect with her. I’m in awe of how much her students love her. Also, on many Fridays, she’s still in her classroom way past time to go home for the weekend, preparing for the next week’s lessons. Joy, you are an awesome teacher!

Joy is a fantastic teacher and encouraging and supportive co-worker! She has such great relationships with her students and does an amazing job in motivating them to learn and grow!

She is wonderful!!! I see her every day in the hallway greeting students and making them feel special. She has a true teacher’s heart.

She is so devoted to see each one of her students grow and learn! She does this will showing them love and keeping English class engaging and fun! She is a true asset to our OHS students!!!

Joy goes above and beyond with her students day in and day out. Students that she previously taught will show up to visit her because she was so impactful on their lives.

Joy goes above and beyond to make sure all students feel welcome in her class. After their emotional and social needs are met, she makes sure they are mastering standards needed to be successful on the English 2 state test.

She works hard to get to know each of her students on an individual level to make sure they are learning to the best of their ability.

Ms. Clark works so hard and really cares about her students as individuals. She is not only a wonderful English teacher but she helps support her students when they are struggling emotionally and having a hard day. She is flexible and knows how to manage difficult situations. We are lucky to have her!

Joy truly cares about her students. She teaches the entire block and puts so much effort into her lesson plans. I work with her every day because we teach the same subject, and I can speak first hand to how dedicated a teacher she is!

Joy Clark goes above and beyond to not only prepare her sophomores for the state test. She also builds relationships with her students so that they are invested in performing well on the state test. She respects their time so they respect her.

Ms. Clark believes that every student can achieve. She works with all students to ensure that they will be successful!
