“To the best of my knowledge, I have never been chosen as anything of the week — except for that time in high school when I was the student who spent the most days of the week in the principal’s office. Driving the bus is more than a job, it's a ministry. As the children mature it's my hope that some of them will remember when they had a bus driver that really loved them. It's a privilege to be the Employee of the Week for the Transportation Department. I hope I can wear it well.”

 

The Oxford School District is proud to recognize school bus driver Howard Green as our Employee of the Week for School Services. Mr. Green helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

Here’s what Transportation Supervisor Scott Cofer has to say about Mr. Green:

“Mr. Howard Green goes above and beyond as an Oxford School District Bus Driver. He is a dedicated employee who rarely misses work and is always willing to help when needed. Mr. Green was one of the drivers that helped deliver meals during the pandemic and still continues every day to help out as a medivac driver for the Oxford Wellness Center. We are truly honored to have Mr. Green as part of our team in the Transportation Department.”
