Charles Waller
Transportation Supervisor
Transportation
Pop. Bossman, Charles or Mr. Waller, whatever you have grown to call him you know he is there to help. On any given day you can reach him at the bus shop from about 6am until 4:30 -5pm. He eats his lunch at his desk so don’t think you might find him gone then either. The drivers depend on Mr. Waller and know they can call him anytime.
Last year when we got three new buses in, Mr. Waller walked up to one bus, paused, and said “the injector in this one is not working.” It wasn’t and he sent the bus back right then for the dealer to repair. Mr. Waller insures that all the buses are ready to roll every day. When he walks by a bus he is listening, looking and even smelling to insure that all is right with the vehicle. His mechanical expertise is legendary.
When there is a child that has been misplaced, put on bus that is not the correct one Mr. Waller works tirelessly to insure the child makes it to the right place.
Short notice athletic trip? Don’t expect a smile - but you will have the bus when and where you need it.
Have a complaint about Frank or Louis? Don’t expect him to listen impassively. Mr. Waller will not take kindly to unjust criticism of the mechanics or drivers. However if you have a moment or two to listen….
Mr. Waller’s caring, professionalism and work ethic are unmatched. He is a vital part of the transportation team and is very much appreciated.
