Alexandra Freeman

Teacher
Scott Center

“I am very honored to have been chosen as employee of the week. I enjoy my job at the Scott Center, my students, and the staff. Being a first year teacher it is easy to feel stressed and overwhelmed, but the staff have made each day enjoyable. I want to give my students my best each day and to help them reach a level of success others may have not seen possible.”

Alexandra Freeman is currently working on completing her first year as one of the teachers in the Developmentally Delayed class at the Scott Center. Most notably, her remarkable skill and talent does not resemble that of a novice teacher. Her colleagues describe her as hard-working, self-starting, friendly and easy to get along with. Her fervent spirit and genuine concern for the children truly compliment her in her role at the Scott Center.

Alexandra is by no means new in the capacity of working with individuals that sometimes require a little extra care. While completing her student teaching assignment, she was privileged to work at the Scott Center with the Pre-Vocational class. As an added bonus, she is credentialed as a nurse and has previously worked with residents at the North Mississippi Regional Center. We are certainly proud to seize this opportunity to honor and recognize Alexandra Freeman as the Scott Center's selection for Employee of the Week.
