Donna Calhoun is currently completing her first year as the Social Studies teacher at the Oxford Learning Center. Mrs. Calhoun is characterized by her peers as one who possesses a deep passion for ensuring that her students make good choices, since the choices that students make today will affect their future lives and livelihoods tomorrow. Mrs. Calhoun is also noted as one who does an exceptional job of maintaining discipline in the instructional setting by encouraging students to be on their best behavior at all times and to put forward their best effort in their academic endeavors. Her high expectation for student learning is perhaps best noted by her refusal to allow students to just fail due to their lack of effort. She is consistent and persistent in ensuring that students complete assignments in a thorough and timely manner. The faculty and staff members of Oxford Learning Center are immensely grateful and honored to have Donna Calhoun as their Employee of the Week selection.
