When people meet Mrs. Anna Purvis, they observe her energy, her welcoming and winning smile and her positive attitude. Oxford Elementary Employee of the Week is Anna Purvis who serves the stakeholders in many ways. When you think of a teacher who is upbeat, very prepared, helpful, and professional, Anna Purvis is one of the teachers who come to mind. Mrs. Purvis will do whatever it takes to help build student success. Anna is the Reading Teacher for Oxford Elementary second and third graders who struggle with reading. Mrs. Purvis exemplifies the behavior of a life long learner; her eagerness to locate and make use of “best practices” is incredible. As a Teacher Leader, Anna chooses instructional material, helps shapes the curriculum by distributing professional materials, contributes as an active member of TST and the teacher leadership team, designs and provides Professional development, and collaborates with her colleagues.
