The Oxford School District is proud to recognize Oxford Middle School receptionist Veronica Gonzalez Torres as our Employee of the Month. Ms. Gonzalez Torres helps make our district a great place to work and learn.

She consistently goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. Every time I’ve needed something, she has handled it promptly and with a genuinely joyful spirit.

She’s such a sweet person and very welcoming!

Ms. Veronica is always very professional and courteous with all of the people I have seen her interact with in the office. She definitately goes the extra mile to advocate for our EL families and makes sure they have what they need to be successful at school. We love having Ms. Veronica at OSD!

Mrs. Gonzalez Torres is the B-E-S-T receptionist in the district! She brings good vibes, patience, and kindness to the front door of OMS daily. From seasonal scents to building teacher morale, Mrs. Gonzalez Torres has done it all. Thank you for all you do!

Mrs. Gonzalez has patience better than anyone I know. She is such a delight to go and see as you are going to the office! So grateful to have her as OMS's Receptionist! :)

Veronica has been an amazing addition to the OMS staff. Not only does she greet everyone with a friendly smile, and demeanor, she helps organize many staff bonding activities throughout the year, helping to boost moral throughout the building.

Veronica is AMAZING. She has brought so much light to Oxford Middle School this year! She is a professional and cheerful presence in the front office, but she also goes above and beyond to boost morale among faculty, staff, and students.

Mrs. Veronica has brought an overwhelming (in an amazing way) sense of community to OMS this year. She has been working extremely hard at her job while also making sure that our hispanic population feels seen and heard. I applaud her endlessly for the love she shows her OMS coworkers and staff, as well as the OSD community! GO VERONICA!!!!

Ms. Torres sees everyone that comes into OMS. She is the first face that many people will see, and her voice is the first they hear. She is always polite, professional, and prepared to assist parents, teachers, and students. She does this with a smile while remaining organized and calm. We would not function smoothly without her.

Seeing her smile when I walk into the front office is often the highlight of my day.

Mrs. Gonzalez does a phenomenal job at the front desk. She is always willing to help, to learn more and go above and beyond for OMS. We couldn't do it without her!!!

Ms. Veronica is an amazing bright spot for the entire school - both staff and students. I am SO grateful for her positive attitude and her sweet spirit AND for the fact that she helps keep this place running! I look forward to getting to even run into her up front!
