Pre-K Registration for 2021-2022 is not yet open.

    Step Two: Submit Required Documents

New this year! Our registration platform will allow you to upload required documents at the time of registration. We will also receive documents via postal mail or our district drop-off location at 1637 Hwy 30. All documents must be received via the online application, postal mail, or delivered in person by appointment by Friday, April 9th in order for your child to have a complete application.

Required registration documents* for our pre-K program are:

*NOTE: Any document with a P.O. box as an address will NOT be accepted by school officials.

    1. Copy of child’s original birth certificate
    2. Child’s updated immunization record (Mississippi Immunization 121 Form) must be marked:
      • “Complete for School Entry” if child will be 4 years old before April 5, 2021;
        OR
      • “Complete until School Entry” if child will be 4 years old after April 5, 2021.
NOTE: Form will only be accepted with a pending appointment for 4-year-old immunizations. You must provide proof of scheduled appointment from physician's office.
    3. Proofs of residency:
NOTE: the parent/guardian’s name and address on each of the below items must be the same.
      • Any one (1) of the following documents:
        • Mortgage document

        • Filed Homestead Exemption Application form
        • Apartment or home lease with the expiration date
        • Any other residency document that will establish that the parent or legal guardian resides within the Oxford School District as determined by the registration coordinator, superintendent or designee
      • AND any one (1) of the following documents:

    4. Be prepared to answer income questions on the Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application.
Because this is a free Pre-K program, priority consideration is given to financial need as demonstrated on the federal lunch application completed by a parent/guardian. Parents are not required to submit financial information if they do not wish to be prioritized for enrollment based on financial need. By submitting your financial snapshot on the lunch application, parents agree that they are reporting honest and accurate information stating: “I am aware that if I purposely give false information, I may be prosecuted under applicable State and Federal laws.” Federal law requires the district to verify a percentage of income information reported on the federal lunch application each year.
NOTE: In accordance with the Department's policy as provided in the Food and Nutrition Service publication Eligibility Manual for School Meals, “income,” as the term is used, means income before any deductions such as income taxes, Social Security taxes, insurance premiums, charitable contributions, and bonds.
