• Bond Referendum Vote Set for September 19

    Building Great Oxford Schools logoOn September 19, 2023, a special election will be held for Oxford, Mississippi residents to vote on a $37 Million bond referendum for the Oxford School District which includes renovation and expansion projects for:

    1. Oxford Early Childhood Center:
      (Addition of new! 3-K program)
      renovate, replace, repair, remodel, enlarge, equip and add to existing facilities, including fencing, playground equipment, canopies, classrooms, restrooms, kitchen area, flooring and gym and perform site work;
    2. Oxford High School:
      renovate, repair, remodel, enlarge and equip existing facilities, including adding a turf drill field for ROTC, Band and other school activities, constructing a security guard building and entry gates, constructing or renovating parking areas and constructing and equipping a center for innovation and workforce development including classrooms, offices, work rooms and restrooms;
    3. Athletics Facility Expansion:
      renovate, repair, remodel, enlarge and equip existing facilities and parking area and construct and equip restrooms and weight and meeting rooms;
    4. Oxford Middle School:
      add turf to existing practice field and install bleachers and scoreboard;
    5. Central Elementary School:
      construct and equip playground basketball courts.

    A special election on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 will be held within the Oxford School District at:

    102 Ed Perry Boulevard
    Oxford, Mississippi
    *Must be registered to vote 30 days in advance of the election.

    Election Hours:
    7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

    Absentee voting deadline is September 16, 2023.
