Mission

The mission of the Oxford School District Department of Information Systems is to provide a reliable, integrated, secure information systems infrastructure that supports the teaching and learning for students, and faculty, efficiently fulfills the operational support requirements of the district staff and delivers technical support to the operation of computing infrastructure and services.

How We Support Our District

OSD IT is organized into three specialized teams: Systems, Support, and Networking. Each team is responsible for a unique set of services, but they work together every day to provide reliable technology that supports teaching and learning across the district.

While each team has its own area of expertise, every member of the department shares a common commitment to delivering timely support, protecting district data, maintaining secure systems, and ensuring technology is available when students and staff need it.

Systems

The Systems team manages the district's core technology infrastructure, including servers, user accounts, device management, software integrations, and configuration management for district-owned computers and iPads. They work behind the scenes to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and integrated across the district.

Support

The Support team provides direct assistance to students and staff with day-to-day technology needs. They deploy and repair district devices, install and maintain classroom a/v equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help users make the most of the technology available to them.

Networking

The Networking team designs, maintains, and secures the district's wired and wireless network infrastructure. They manage network switches, wireless access points, cameras, network cabling, and backup power systems to ensure reliable connectivity and uninterrupted access to district resources.
