Summer Meals

Just as learning does not end when school lets out, neither does a child’s need for good nutrition. Summer is an exciting time for children to enjoy playtime with friends, a week at camp, a family vacation, or time at the pool. However, for many children summer can mean hunger.

As part of U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Meal Programs, the Oxford community is a site that will be serving free meals to children this summer. This summer, breakfast and lunch will be served (dine-in only) every weekday from June 2 to July 18, 2025. Free summer meals are available to all children ages 18 and younger — not just Oxford School District students. There are no residence or school requirements, nor any proof of income required.

We are always about getting kids fed with the nutrition they need during the summer months. This is an opportunity for us to feed anyone who lives in the area. That’s what I love about this program.Director of Child Nutrition, Dan Westmoreland

All meals served are healthy and follow the same U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutrition guidelines the school districts follow during the regular school year. Oxford School District does not provide transportation to our meal sites.
