    Cheer Tryout Rubric (90% of Overall Score)

    The following rubric will be used to rate candidates during cheer tryouts; it will count as 90% of each candidate’s overall tryout score.

    • Loud, clear voice; no singing
    • Facial expressions, energy, enthusiasm

    Motion Techniques:
    • Arms and wrists held straight
    • Bold, sharp, controlled movements
    • Claps are sharp and loud; hands cupped
    • Fist closed correctly and facing the correct direction

    The following rubric will be used to rate candidates during the cheer clinic; it will count as 10% of each candidate’s overall tryout score.
