  • Heisman High School Scholarship

    Application deadline: October 19, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: up to $10,000.
    This scholarship recognizes high school seniors who accomplish tremendous feats in the classroom, on the field, and most importantly within their communities. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average. Applicants also must have participated in at least one approved sport during 9th, 10th, or 11th grade. This scholarship is open to male and female athletes.

  • National Rice Month Scholarship

    Application deadline: October 31, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $2,000 to $5,000.
    Applicants must create an original video about U.S. rice and the importance of rice in Mississippi.

  • Stokes Educational Scholarship

    Application deadline: October 31, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $30,000.
    The Stokes Educational Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors, particularly minority students, planning to major in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, or Chinese or Russian languages. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average.

  • Voice of Democracy Scholarship

    Application deadline: October 31, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $30,000.
    To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be 9-12 grade and must be enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school. Students must pick up an application from the counselor’s office or from College and Career Readiness office (Dana McConnell on the H-Hall next to restrooms).

  • Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship

    Application deadline: October 31, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $20,000.
    The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve. Applicants must be current high school seniors planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution.

  • Builders’ Association Scholarships

    Scholarship amount: $3,000.
    Applicants must be a full-time student in the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 semester studying in a construction-related program (construction management, engineering, or architecture).

    This scholarship will support students who are successfully managing Type 1 Diabetes and influencing others to do the same.

  • Elks National Foundation Scholarship Program

    Application deadline: November 12, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: ranges from $1,000 to $12,500 per year.
    Student must be a current senior who is a U.S. citizen. You don’t have to be related to an Elks member to apply.

  • Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards

    Application deadline: November 14, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $3,500.
    Students must be currently enrolled in high school and have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale.

    Scholarship amount: $12,500.
    Applicants must be in middle or high school and be a person who is making a difference in others’ lives outside of the classroom.

  • Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Program

    Application deadline: November 18, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: varies by individual up to $55,000.
    The Cooke Scholarship Program is one of the largest undergraduate scholarship programs available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Applicants must have 3.5 grade point average. Families with income up to $95,000 will be considered.

  • Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship

    Scholarship amount: $1,000.
    Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for early enrollment as full-time student in an accredited institution in the U.S. and have at least one parent of Hispanic ancestry.

  • Horatio Algers Scholarship Program – National and State Scholarships

    Scholarship amount: $10,000.
    Applicants must be classified as a Junior who plans to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited public or private institution. Student must demonstrate financial need and be involved in co-curricular and community service activities. Student must have 2.0 GPA or higher.

  • Hagan Scholarship Foundation

    Application deadline: December 1, 2021.
    Scholarship amount: $6,000 per semester.
    Student must have 3.75 cumulative grade point average. They must also enroll at an eligible 4 year college or university following high school graduation. Students must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Applicant must also provide the FAFSA SAR showing EFC (Expected Family Contribution).

  • Luckyday Scholarship Program (Mississippi State University)

    Scholarship amount: $6,000 per year for 4 years.
    Participants in the Luckyday Scholars program at Mississippi State will participate in the immersive Luckyday leadership program. Students must have an ACT score 20-28 and 3.0 grade point average.

    Scholarship amount: $5,000.
    This program recognizes student solutions to fight hunger in the U.S. Scholarship winners receive $5000 and a $5000 grant for their hunger-related charity.

    Applicant must be a high school senior planning to attend either a 2-year or 4-year accredited program. They should be able to demonstrate courage, strength, and wisdom through volunteer service.

    Scholarship amount: Up to $1,000.
    This scholarship program encourages students to take a stand against dangerous driving. The Road to Safety Scholarship Contest provides high school seniors with the opportunity to submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving.

  • Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program (University of Mississippi)

    Application deadline: January 5, 2022.
    Scholarship amount: Full tuition for 4-years plus study abroad and a technology stipend.
    This is a fully funded 4-year scholarship plus study abroad and a technology stipend for students interested in a teaching career at the high-school level. An ACT score of 28 or higher is recommended (although students who are slightly lower should still apply).

  • Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program (Mississippi State University)

    Scholarship amount: Full tuition for 4-years plus study abroad and a technology stipend.
    Students should apply for admission to Mississippi State University as an elementary education major with a middle school concentration, a secondary English, mathematics, or science major or a special education major. Then complete the METP application through you mystate page.

  • Ron Brown Scholarship Program

    Scholarship amount: $40,000 (awarded over 4 years).
    Scholarships are awarded to the most talented and economically challenged high school students. The student must demonstrate an interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship. Applicants must be African American and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

  • John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

    Application deadline: January 14, 2022.
    Scholarship amount: 1st place is $10,000.
    The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students (9th- 12th) to write an essay on an act of political courage by a United State elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born.

  • Luckyday Scholarship Program (University of Southern Mississippi)

    Application deadline: January 15, 2022 (deadline for admission to U.S.M. is December 1, 2021).
    Scholarship amount: $6,000 per year for 4 years.
    Mississippi residents who have been accepted into the University of Southern Mississippi as freshmen may apply for the scholarship. Applicants must also have at least a 3.0 core grade point average and a minimum ACT Superscore of 21.

    The University of Mississippi Luckyday scholarship is based on academic accomplishments and remaining financial obligations after grants and scholarships have been calculated. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher.

    Scholarship amount: Up to $1,500.
    The Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship is available to high school seniors. To be considered, you must submit an essay detailing your volunteer efforts to help animals in need, and how that involvement has changed your life or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare.

    The Spirit of Youth Scholarship fund is an umbrella that supports three separate scholarship opportunities for participants in American Legion programs. One is for American Legion Auxiliary Junior Members; another is for the Honorary National Junior President; and one is for participants in the American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation Program.

    Two Ten provides scholarship opportunities to any student studying design with a focus on footwear. Applicants are evaluated by design potential and financial need. Awards of up to $3000 annually are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.

    The AFSA High School Essay Contest is open to high school students. To be considered, in a 1000- to 1250-word essay, you must identify how members of the foreign service work with other civilian parts of the U.S. government to promote peace, national security, and economic prosperity.

    Scholarship amount: $20,000.
    Applicants for the Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship must: be high-school seniors of African descent; plan to attend a four-year college or university; and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business programs. Minimum 3.3 GPA and financial need is required.

  • AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship

    Scholarship amount: Up to $5,000.
    The AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship is available to high school students who will be entering an accredited four-year college or university within 12 months of the deadline. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award. To apply, you must submit a short personal biography and a 1200- to 1500-word essay describing the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on yourself, your family, or your community.
