      • Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship

        Application deadline: November 30, 2022.
        Scholarship amount: $1,000 for 4-year college, $500 for 2-year college.

        Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for early enrollment as full-time student in an accredited institution in the U.S. and have at least one parent of Hispanic ancestry.

      • Hagan Scholarship Foundation

        Application deadline: December 1, 2022.
        Scholarship amount: $6,000 per semester.

        Students must have 3.50 cumulative grade point average. They must also enroll at an eligible 4-year college or university following high school graduation. Students must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Applicant must also provide the FAFSA SAR.

        Application amount: Full tuition to Mississippi College.

        This scholarship provides full tuition to Mississippi College for any high school student who is a Mississippi resident.

      • Luckyday Scholarship Program – Mississippi State University

        Application deadline: December 1, 2022.
        Scholarship amount: $6,000 per year.

        Participants in the Luckyday Scholars program at Mississippi State will participate in the immersive Luckyday Leadership Program. Students must have an ACT score 20-28 and 3.0 grade point average.

      • Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program – Mississippi State University

        Application deadline: December 1, 2022.
        Scholarship amount: Full tuition plus stipend.

        This program offers a fully funded 4-year scholarship plus study abroad and a technology stipend for students interested in a teaching career at the high school level. Students should apply for admission to Mississippi State University as an elementary education major with a middle school concentration, a secondary English, mathematics, science or special education major. Then complete the METP application through your student banner account.

        Applicants must be in middle or high school and be a person who is making a difference in others’ lives outside of the classroom.

        Scholarship amount: $2,500, $10,000, $25,000.

        Applicant must be a high school senior planning to attend either a 2-year or 4-year accredited program. They should be able to demonstrate courage, strength, and wisdom through volunteer service.

        Scholarship amount: Full tuition plus stipend.

        This program offers a fully funded 4-year scholarship plus study abroad and a technology stipend for students interested in a teaching career at the high school level. An ACT score of 28 or higher is recommended, but students who are slightly lower should still apply.

        Scholarships are awarded to the most talented and economically challenged high school students. The student must demonstrate an interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship. Applicants must be African American and a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

      • John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

        Application deadline: January 13, 2023.
        Scholarship amount: Up to $10,000.

        The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation invites U.S. high school students (9th- 12th) to write an essay on an act of political courage by a United States elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born.

      • Luckyday Scholarship Program – University of Southern Mississippi

        Application deadline: December 1, 2022 for admission to USM; January 15, 2023 for Luckyday application.
        Scholarship amount: $6,000 per year.

        Mississippi residents who have been accepted into the University of Southern Mississippi as freshmen may apply for the scholarship. Applicants must also have at least 3.0 core grade point average and a minimum ACT Superscore of 21.

        Scholarship amount: Up to $5,000.

        Applicant must be a current senior. Student must sing, dance, or play a musical instrument and submit a performance video for review by the selection committee by uploading the performance to YouTube.

      • Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship

        Application deadline: February 27, 2023.
        Scholarship amount: Up to $1,500.

        The Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship is available to high school seniors. To be considered, you must submit an essay detailing your volunteer efforts to help animals in need, and how that involvement has changed your life or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare.

      • AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship

        Application deadline: March 1, 2023.
        Scholarship amount: Up to $5,000.

        The AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship is available to high school students who will be entering an accredited four-year college or university within 12 months of the deadline. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award. To apply, you must submit a short personal biography and a 1200- to 1500-word essay describing the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on yourself, your family, or your community.

        The Spirit of Youth Scholarship fund is an umbrella that supports three separate scholarship opportunities for participants in American Legion programs.       • Higher Education Legislative Plan (HELP Grant)

        Scholarship amount: Full tuition.

        Students receiving the HELP Grant must have 2.5 grade point average with a family income of $39,000 or less with a 20 on the ACT. Student must plan to attend an eligible Mississippi institution and demonstrate need as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

      • Two Ten Higher Education Footwear Design Scholarships

        Application opens: January 7, 2023.
        Scholarship amount: Up to $3,000.

        Two Ten provides scholarship opportunities to any student studying design with a focus on footwear. Applicants are evaluated by design potential and financial need. Awards of up to $3000 annually are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.

        The AFSA High School Essay Contest is open to high school students. To be considered, in a 1000- to 1250-word essay, you must identify how members of the foreign service work with other civilian parts of the U.S. government to promote peace, national security, and economic prosperity.

        AIGA Worldstudio Scholarships benefit underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are studying photography, illustration, and design disciplines in colleges and universities in the U.S. Scholarships are awarded annually to encourage social and environmental responsibility and cultural awareness in the next generation of artists and designers.
