Cadets Prepare for Color Guard & Flag Detail performance at an Oxford High School football game

Color Guard

  • The Color Guard is a drill-based after-school activity that follows the guidelines of the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual. There are four positions: left rifle, right rifle bearer, U.S.M.C. Flag, and U.S. Flag. We perform at Oxford High School football games, basketball games, OHS homecoming events, Ole Miss football and basketball games, and other requested events, and compete around the country in competitions. To be chosen to perform at an event, a cadet must show discipline, coordination, and bearing, and execute rifle/flag movements effectively. Practices are normally Monday and Wednesday from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.
