June 2024 - UDA Camp

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team attended the Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp at the University of Mississippi in June 2024. At this camp, dancers spend four days learning new skills, improving technique, growing as a team, and learning new routines in various styles to perform on the last day of camp. The Chargers brought home hardware in several categories:

• Home Routine – 1st Place in JH Division
• Leadership Award – voted on by our fellow teams at camp
• 36 Blue Superior Ribbons
• Superior Trophy 
• St. Jude Spirit Stick – for writing the most St. Jude letters with alongside the Oxford High School Dance Team
• 8 All-Americans – Anna Carlisle W., Camille S., Charlotte N., Collins G., Elizabeth E., Lydia B., Maren F., and Mary Mac F. were invited to participate in Disney's Thanksgiving Parade in Orlando, FL
• Spirit Stick – all 4 days
• Pin It Forward Recipient – Rylyn K. 
• A bid to UDA NATIONALS

December 2023 - MHSAA State Competition

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team placed 2nd in the Jr. High Pom Division and 2nd in the Jr. High Game Day Division at the MHSAA Dance Championship!

October 2023 - Mid-South Regional Competition

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team attended the UDA Mid-South Regional Dance Competition in Memphis, TN. We received some valuable feedback as we performed our two routines for the judges. We took home 2nd place in both the JH Game Day and JH Pom divisions. 

June 2023 - UDA Camp

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team attended the first ever Universal Dance Association camp at the University of Mississippi in June 2023. At this camp, dancers spend four days learning new skills, improving technique, growing as a team, and learning new routines in various styles to perform on the last day of camp. • 40 Blue Superior Ribbons & 2 Red Excellent Ribbons
• Superior Trophy 
• 6 All-Americans – Ava Rose R., Ellen Clark D., Madalyn S., Makenzie C., Olivia P., and Rowan D. were invited to participate in Disney's Thanksgiving Parade in Orlando, FL
• Spirit Stick – all 4 days
• Pin It Forward Recipients – Charlotte N., Ellen Clark D., and Olivia P. 
• A bid to UDA NATIONALS

December 2022 - MHSAA State Competition

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team placed 2nd in the Jr. High Pom Division and 4th in the Jr. High Game Day Division at the MHSAA Dance Championship!

October 2022 - Mid-South Regional Competition

The Oxford Middle School Dance Team attended the UDA Mid-South Regional Dance Competition in Memphis, TN. This was the first year the OMS Dance Team has ever competed in a regional competition. We received some valuable feedback as we performed our two routines for the judges. We took home 2nd place in the JH Game Day division and 3rd in JH Pom.
