ArtsEdge began in 1996 at The Kennedy Center as a resource for educators and families. Today, a valuable website where educators and families can access information on the arts. The website includes lessons for students that are differently abled as well as English learners (AASL).

Ask Smithsonian
Ask Smithsonian is where readers have the opportunity to get answers from the staff of the Smithsonian Magazine. These questions are published once a month and vary widely. The questions are not searchable, but interesting to peruse.

Brush Ninja
Brush Ninja is a free application that allows users to create animated GIFs. The site is free and has no login, no advertising, and is not tracked. It is easy to use, and has a variety of applicable uses (AASL).

DK Find Out is a resource for students to find information on most subjects from animals to transportation. Full of videos, puzzles, and subject based articles, the website offers logins for teachers and parents. This website is a great resource for brainstorming science fair projects (AASL).

Explore is a portal to multiple live stream feeds of wildlife as well as documentary films. Students are able to document animal habits by watching them live. The website does not require a login, but it is possible to save favorites (AASL).

Go Noodle is a website that offers unique physical activities as well as brain breaks for use in the classroom. The website boasts reaching more than 14 million students. The website has free content as well as having GoNoodle Plus with more resources for paid accounts (AASL).

Google Cultural Institute
The Google Cultural Institute is actually several websites in one that all offer a vast amount of information for students and teachers. Google Art allows students to explore art and museums around the world; Historic Moments is a collection of digitized primary documents. Users can search through a visual database for basically anything having to do with art (AASL).

Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a free resource for anyone to use. Teachers can create classes where students can learn a variety of subject matter in a self-paced manner. Khan is known for its resources for math and science, but go beyond this; they have partnered with institutions such as MIT, the Museum of Modern Art, and NASA for specialized content (AASL).

National Geographic Education
National Geographic is a trusted source for a variety of information beyond geography. A variety of subjects from science to language arts, this site has activities and instructional guides. The website is searchable by grade level and subject (AASL).

Prodigy is a free math game that is aligned to math curriculum. Students go on a quest, but in order to progress, must answer math questions correctly. Teachers are able to track student progress (AASL).

Science Friday is a free resource of STEM lessons and activities. The website also features the podcast which is produced by WNYC public radio. Activities are step-by-step and super engaging for students grades 3 and up (AASL).

Unite for Literacy
The Unite online library offers free access to more than 400 original picture books without the need of a login. A large number of titles are written in Spanish, but they are also offered narrated in several languages such as Arabic and Somali. Unite for Literacy also offers low cost print materials (AASL).
