Teacher Appreciation – Chair and Co-Chair Plan and coordinate teacher appreciation week: coordinate sign ups, gifts and treats for TA week, set up/take down each day during the week for sweets, lunches, spa day, etc.
Send birthday happies to staff and faculty throughout the year using PTO funds.
High: Year long for Birthday Happies, and 1 week full commitment first of May
Book Fair/Family Night – Chair and Co-Chair Work with the librarian to coordinate the Scholastic Library Fundraiser. Organize games, decor, signs, volunteers needed for book fair. Moderate: 1 event per semester (1 in November, 1 in April)
Brushstrokes for Bramlett – Chair and Co-Chair Coordinate with Art Teacher to plan Brushstrokes fundraising event. Lead the event and help coordinate volunteers to set up, clean up, selling paintings and distributing auctions numbers on the night of Brushstrokes. High: 1 month (April) daily
Good Food for Oxford Schools – Chair and Co-Chair Organizes volunteers in the learning garden, distributes fresh food, and other fun activities throughout the year. Minimal: Year long as needed
Watch D.O.G.S. Program – Chair Special program for dads and father figures at Bramlett. These men volunteer to help during morning carpool and in the classroom. The coordinator helps communicate needs or organizes WatchDOGS events by sending sign up to the dad for various events. The coordinator will also host a pizza night for the dads at the beginning of the year and organize a PE events for the dads in the spring. High: Year long
Citizens of the Month – Chair Coordinate volunteers for prizes and distributions each month for Citizen of the Month. Decorates conference room for lunch each month for the winners and their families. Moderate: Once per month
Teacher Work Room – Chair Coordinate snacks and flowers and supplies for the teacher workroom on a monthly basis. Send sign up for volunteers to sign up for Fridays at the beginning of the year. Minimal: Year long
Hospitality – Chair Help with Luncheons/breakfasts throughout the year recognizing teachers (i.e. Back to School Breakfast, etc.). Help organize/distribute staff shirts if needed during the year, coordinate coffee, food for general PTO meetings, snacks for faculty meetings. Moderate: Year long
Clothes Closet – Chair Ensure the clothes closet is filled with new and gently used clothing that may be given to children in the event of an accident or an inherent need. Organize the closer and use PTO funds to purchase needed items. Liaison with Charger Support Coordinator at the District Office. Minimal: Year long as needed
Reading is Fundamental (RIF) – Chair Coordinate RIF distribution event. Order books, set up and distribute books, as well as serve snacks and drinks to the children. Twice per year. Minimal: 1 event per semester (1 day in November, 1 day in March)
Beautification – Chair Seasonally assist with beautifying our entrance and outside of BES. Holiday decorating, planters around the school getting updates, landscape overseen, door decor, etc. Minimal: Year long as needed
Pre-K and K Round Up – Chair and Co-Chair Plan and coordinate the Spring Open House event for incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Overall management of the Round Up (i.e. coordinating parent volunteers, decorations, communications, supplies). Moderate: One-time event in May
Dr. Seuss Week – Chair Plan and Coordinate events and decorations for Dr. Seuss Week. Moderate: One week in March
Love Packs – Chair and Co-Chair Coordinate and promote Love Packs. Volunteers are needed on FRIDAY mornings at 9:0 to pick up donations from BES and take to the Love Packs pantry, pack meals and deliver packs back to the guidance counselor at BES. Moderate: Year long, weekly
Charger Character Time – Chair Coordinates materials for each lesson, prizes, distribution. Moderate: Year long, one lesson per month
BES Spirit – Chair Coordinate t-shirts for students/parents. Host a pep rally. Help with 100th day of school events and decorations. Help spread OSD and Bramlett Spirit. Minimal: Year long as needed
