      • Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship

        Application opens: September 1, 2023.
        Application deadline: February 26, 2024.
        Scholarship amount: Up to $1,500.

        The Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship is available to high school seniors. To be considered, you must submit an essay detailing your volunteer efforts to help animals in need, and how that involvement has changed your life or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare.

      • League of Women Voters of Oxford/ North Mississippi

        Application deadline: February 29, 2024.
        Scholarship amount: $500.

        Scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior at Lafayette County High School and Oxford High School. Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to attend an educational institution in the United States.

      • Children of Warriors National President’s Scholarship

        Application deadline: March 1, 2024.
        Scholarship amount: $5,000.

        It is important to acknowledge the sacrifices of our service members who preserve our freedom. The sacrifices of the children of those who served should also be honored. The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship to support children of warriors who excel in academics and volunteer in their communities.

        Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation. Applicants must be high-school seniors of African descent and must plan to attend a four-year college or university and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information or select business programs.

        Applicants for this scholarship should be children, step-children, or legal dependents of full or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal workers employed with the federal government for more than three years.

      • Navy League Foundation Scholarships

        Application deadline: March 15, 2024.
        Scholarship amount: $10,000.

        To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be enrolled in any curriculum at an accredited institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2024. The applicant must also be the child or grandchild of a member of the sea services, which includes: the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine.

        The Ronald and Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc. Scholarship is open to high school seniors who plan to attend a technical college in the Fall of 2024 and plan to have a career in a qualifying field. These areas include Automotive Technology, Automation and Robotics, Carpentry, Commercial Driving, Construction, Diesel Technology, Electrical, HVAC, Information Technology, and Welding.       • Mississippi Public Educators Scholarship

        Scholarship amount: $500.

        Mississippi Professional Educators will award up to twenty scholarships in the amount of $500 each to children of MPE members who are high school seniors and wish to pursue undergraduate studies at a college or university.

      • Local Scholarship!Zeta Phi Beta Scholarships

        Scholarship amount: $500.

        The Mu Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. offers educational scholarships for graduating high school seniors. The Academic, Community Service, and Need-based Scholarships are offered to Lafayette, Oxford, Coffeeville, and Water Valley High School students who will be attending a community college or 4-year university to further their education in the 2024 Fall Semester. The Academic Scholarship requires a 3.0 or higher and is restricted to females only. The Community Service Scholarship requires a minimum of 2.0 GPA and the Need-Based Scholarship requires a 2.0.         The AFSA High School Essay Contest is open to high school students. To be considered, applicants must write an essay identifying how members of the foreign service work with other civilian parts of the U.S. government to promote peace, national security, and economic prosperity.

        This scholarship recognizes deserving high school seniors who excel in leadership, academics, and community service. The students provide a written essay that details their involvement in the community and school programs. The scholarships participants are chosen from Oxford High School and Lafayette County High School. Lennette Ivy served as a department chair at the University of Mississippi Communicative Disorders Department. She was a dedicated life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

        The Mary Laine Thames Memorial Scholarship is funded by Oxford, MS Girl Scout Troop #13616 and private donors. Number and amount of scholarship varies as funds allow. This scholarship will be awarded to female student residents of Lafayette and Madison Counties who exemplify love, kindness, compassion, and dedication to making the world a better place.

      • ASHRAE High School Senior Scholarships

        Scholarship amount: $3,000.

        Four one-year $3000 scholarships are available to undergraduate students enrolled full-time I their first year of college in a pre-engineering, engineering technology program leading to a bachelor’s degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must be high school seniors with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.

      • Alys Robinson Stephens Alumni

        Scholarship amount: one-time $1,000 award.

        To be eligible for the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors/ graduates and accepted to UAB. There are no applications for this scholarship: via audition and testing, the student must prove to be of substantial talent and show promise for continued excellence in music.
