Ms. Amanda Osborne

Thank you for visiting the Oxford High School Library Information page.  I am Amanda Osborne, your friendly OHS Librarian.  My interests include reading (shocker!); swimming (new workout crush), watching sports, especially football, and baseball; learning new things; and most importantly, spending time with family & friends.  I have 2 school-aged daughters, Annelise (16) and Ivy (12), and a pawsome one-eyed dog, Cap-n-Jack!

I have 22 years of service as a Mississippi public school educator!  Prior to my position at OHS, I served as Librarian for the students in grades 5-8 in the Pontotoc City Schools. I  also taught English in grades 7-12 for thirteen years in Central and North MS.

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Southern Mississippi completing my second Masters degree in Library and Information Science.  I also hold an Ed.S. in Secondary English Education from the University of Mississippi; a Master's Degree from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS; a B.A. in Literature from UNC Asheville, NC; and an A.A. degree from Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent English Language Arts.

In my ninth year as librarian, I can honestly say I LOVE MY SCHOOL LIBRARY!  I love my patrons and the wonderful OHS & L.O.U. community.

Feel free to email me atosborne@oxfordsd.org.  Stop by the library if you are on campus or schedule a class visit.  We are open 7:45-4:00 M-F!
