Athletic State Championship Titles

The Oxford Chargers hold true to the school district’s vision of excellence. Our district believes that extracurricular sports and activities play an important role in our Portrait of a Graduate. The following Oxford Chargers athletic teams have been crowned state champions:

• Oxford athletes have won a total of seven Gatorade Player of the Year awards (6 athletes have won 7 total titles).
• Oxford has won a total of 17 All-Sports awards handed out by the Clarion-Ledger.
• Oxford has won a total of 78 state championship titles.
• The Oxford tennis team has won 10 state championships in a row between 2008 and 2017.
• Oxford boys’ powerlifting won a state championship title every year from 2013 to 2017.
• Oxford cheerleading won their program’s first ever national championship in 2017.
• Oxford boys’ track team won four straight state championships between 2014 and 2017.
• Oxford girls’ soccer team won back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017.
• Oxford girls’ track team won back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017.
• Oxford baseball won back-to-back state championships in 2015 and 2016, finishing #1 in the nation in the 2015 Max Preps Medium School poll.
• Oxford dance won both the Small Squad Game Day routine and Pom routine state championships in 2022.
