Athletic State Championship Titles

The Oxford Chargers hold true to the school district’s vision of excellence. Our district believes that extracurricular sports and activities play an important role in our Portrait of a Graduate. The following Oxford Chargers athletic teams have been crowned state champions:

• Oxford athletes have won a total of seven Gatorade Player of the Year awards (6 athletes have won 7 total titles).
• Oxford has won a total of 17 All-Sports awards handed out by the Clarion-Ledger.
• Oxford has won a total of 74 state championship titles.
• The Oxford tennis team has won the last 10 state championships in a row (2008-2017).
• Oxford boys’ powerlifting has won a state championship title in the last five years (2013-2017).
• Oxford cheerleading won their program’s first ever national championship in 2017.
• Oxford boys’ track team has won the last four state championships (2014-2017).
• Oxford girls’ soccer team has won the last two state championships (2016-2017).
• Oxford girls’ track team has won the last two state championships (2016-2017).
