I use a colored clip chart to monitor student behavior and choices.  Each child will have a clip that they physically move up or down the chart, depending on their choices.  At the end of the day, colors will be marked inside your child’s assignment book.  Please check the assignment book each night and initial.

Please keep in mind that your child may not move every single day - for them to move up, they must go above and beyond in their choices.  Please read below for an explanation of how the clip chart works.

    1. Pink - Outstanding
    2. Purple - Great choice!
    3. Blue - Good choice!
    4. Green - Ready to Learn - Everyone will start here at the beginning of the day.
    5. Yellow - Slow down!
    6. Orange - Think about it!
    7. Red - Parent contact

**Severity Clause - The teacher has the authority to bypass any step within the discipline protocol.

I believe this clip chart is a positive way for students to monitor their choices and it also gives them behavior goals to strive for.  As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns you might have.

Our school implements the PBIS Reward System.  Students who exhibit good behavior will receive “Bolt Buck” points throughout the day.

Students who are on green or above all week will visit the candy jar on Friday! :)

If your child is on a color below green, they will spend some time during their recess walking the track.
