Department of Transportation
The Oxford School District provides bus transportation to all students within the Oxford School District boundaries. The average ride time for students is about 50 minutes each way. The system's transportation department is committed to providing these students with safe, efficient and reliable transportation service that contributes to their overall academic success.
The Transportation Department consists of approximately 40 people dedicated to serving the transportation needs of the Oxford School District. The commitment made by each of these individuals is "to provide the safest, friendliest, and most efficient transportation services to our students". This same commitment extends to all students, including those on regular buses, special needs buses, field trip buses, and athletic buses. Our team of drivers, mechanics, and supervisors all expect one thing - simply that their commitment and dedication will enable all students to arrive safely at school every morning - ready to learn - and will enable all students to arrive safely at home every afternoon.
