Welcome to Oxford High School for the 2013-2014 school year. We anticipate another outstanding year. The OHS faculty is excited to meet the incoming freshmen class as well as our returning sophomores, juniors and seniors. Oxford High School has always been a dynamic place for learning. There is a long tradition of excellence, which we are dedicated to continuing.

Friday • April 18, 2014

  • Some science teachers have received Teacher Referral Forms for students who want to enroll in Health Sciences I for next year. Please, please return completed forms today to the counseling office.
  • Boys’ Soccer Tryouts will be Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8 for upcoming 9-12th graders (current 8-11th graders). Tryouts begin at 4 pm each day at the current middle school field.
  • High School Girls Basketball tryouts will be held May 13-15 from 4-6 pm at the High School Gym. Tryouts are open to any Oxford student in grades 8-11.
    In order to tryout, you must have a current physical. You must also have shorts, shirt and basketball shoes.

  • FEA will meet Monday and Wednesday of next week immediately after school.
  • In case you missed the OHS Dance Team Informational Meeting on Monday April 14th, here are some important dates and times.
    • Clinics start next week.
      Monday, April 21st-Wednesday, April 23rd
      4:00-5:30 in the **Girls Fitness Room at OHS in the gym
    • Tryouts are Thursday, April 24th
      4:00-? in the **Girls Fitness Room at OHS in the gym
    ** Please note the location change.
    You do NOT have to have a physical done to try out, however your parent needs to fill out a form waiving liability. This form will be attached to the packet that will be in the office Thursday. Stop by and pick one up!! GO CHARGERS!
  • OHS PTO $500 Scholarship
    Graduating Oxford High School seniors are encouraged to apply for a $500 scholarship opportunity offered by the Oxford High School PTO. Graduating Oxford High School students must fill out an application and meet established criteria. Please read the following guidelines and instructions carefully. Applications must be completed and turned into the guidance office by April 18, 2014. Click here for more information and to fill out an application.
  • The latest edition of CTV News has posted to the OHS website.
  • Girls’ JV and Varsity Soccer Tryouts will be held Monday, April 28-Wednesday, April 30 at the middle school field from 3:30-5:30. The format will be as follows:
    • Monday, April 28 — CURRENT 6th, 7th, and 8th graders only
    • Tuesday, April 29 — CURRENT 9th, 10th, and 11th graders only
    • Wednesday, April 30 — ALL AGES
  • Creative Arts Fair Entry Deadline: April 21
    Categories: Poetry, Short Story, Non-fiction, Painting, Drawing, 3-D Art or Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography and Short Film
  • There is only one Saturday School left in the school year: May 3, 2014. 
  • OHS PTO Kroger Drive
    A party prize will be awarded to one class per grade for securing the most registrations. The teacher for each winning class will also receive a grand prize: Tickets to the Ford Center, Dinner for two at Lenora’s and a night’s stay at The Inn at Ole Miss!
