“All children can learn.”

Welcome to the Pre-Vocational class. I am planning and anticipating a year filled with challenge, learning, and excitement. All goals/skills and/or activities are essential for preparing the students to transition from school to greater independence and mobility particularly in four basic life domains: community, domestic, recreational/leisure and vocational. Progress toward and/or attainment of goals/skills and educational experiences correspond directly to transitional related goals which should result in student/family outcomes which will promote meaningful opportunity to enable success in a variety of integrated environments in adult life. Student success in school correlates significantly to parental involvement so please assist with homework and take advantage of assisting your child in the classroom and/or on community experiences. I want the students to leave this classroom and be successful in life. It is also my goal and that of the Oxford School District that all students become productive citizens. Through student, parent and teacher involvement, all students should succeed.

Again welcome and let’s have a great year!
